Daily reflection _ a rich life

A RICH LIFE
"Take care to guard against all greed, for though one may be rich, one's life does not consist of possessions."
Deacon John Ruscheinsky
May we trust Jesus' words in the Gospel today: "Take care to guard against all greed, for though one may be rich, one's life does not consist of possessions." Throughout this month we have remembered and reflected upon the many saints who are examples of those whose service required that they give everything, some including their lives. They gives us courage and strength for us to stay on the right path in our faith.
I believe they died very rich! For blessed are the poor in spirit; for theirs is the Kingdom of heaven.
Jesus indicates that true richness must be rooted in what matters to God. For us, what matters to God is revealed through life and teaching of Jesus Christ. Serving others means realizing that somehow we are all connected and we share mutual responsibility for one another's well being.
Points to Pray and Ponder: Life is a gift that grows richer the more we give it in service to others! Sts. Isaac Jogues, John De Brebeuf and Companions, Martyrs  - Pray For Us.
