Daily reflection _ a communicator

A COMMUNICATOR
There are many ways to communicate the glory of God to the world. What is your particular gift and how will you use it to bring the Gospel to others?

Jesus said, in today's Gospel, "For whoever does the will of God is my brother and sister and mother" (Mk 3:35). There are many ways to communicate the glory of God to the world. What is your particular gift and how will you use it to bring the Gospel to others?
Today's Gospel of Mark tells us about a crowd that is seated around Jesus. Undoubtedly, this group includes Gentiles. Earlier in Mark's Gospel we also read that they have come from as far away as Tyre and Sidon. Here, Jesus specifically looks at them and says, "Here are my mother and my brothers" (Mk 3:34), and the list can go on, for whoever does the will of God belongs to My family. This is not a rejection of His Jewish family or of a particular race of people, but rather, a broadening of what it means to be family. In other words the Gentiles, who are not naturally part of the Jewish family, are to be included in Jesus' gatherings and ministry.
Let us be great communicators and say what the Psalmist wrote for us today: He put a new song into my mouth, a hymn to our God! Let us also remember what Jesus prayed during His earthly ministry: "I give praise to You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, for although You have hidden these things from the wise and the learned You have them to the childlike" (Mt 11:25).
There are many ways to communicate the glory of God to all!
