Daily reflection _ you know how firmly we believe

YOU KNOW HOW FIRMLY WE BELIEVE
I turn to you, Lord, in time of trouble, and you fill me with joy of salvation.
Deacon John Ruscheinsky
Trust, Faith in our God... In the Gospel Acclamation: "May your kindness, O Lord, be upon us; who have put our hope in you." Our trust, our hope, and our faith commitment will helps us when times seem very difficult for us in a God who tells us not to be afraid and who said today in the Gospel: "Even the hairs of your head have all been counted." Our Heavenly Father truly cares for us!
As we reflect on today's first reading from Paul to the Romans, the first Eucharistic prayer we refer to Abraham as "our father in faith." This expression means that our faith in the one true God ultimately traces back to Abraham. It also means that Abraham is a model to us of what faith really means. Trust in God's love...
God had made extraordinary promises to Abraham. He told him that he would be the father of a multitude of nations and that the covenant with him would never be broken.
In the Responsorial Psalm we acclaim: I turn to you, Lord, in time of trouble, and you fill me with joy of salvation. God is watching over us. Jesus says do not be afraid.
Points to Pray and Ponder: God watches over the sparrows. In God's eyes, their value cannot compare to the value that God finds in each one of his children. That is true faith: the complete dedication of ourselves to God. Let us live in confidence and hope.
