Daily reflection _ called to live a gospel life

CALLED TO LIVE A GOSPEL LIFE
Jesus Christ desires that we make a place for Him, not only in our hearts, but our homes and in the daily circumstances of our lives as well.
Deacon John Ruscheinsky
In today's Gospel we read about living out our call to a Gospel life. Martha loved to serve and Mary, in her simple and trusting manner, waited on Jesus by sitting attentively at His feet. Jesus Christ desires that we make a place for Him, not only in our hearts, but our homes and in the daily circumstances of our lives as well. Jesus loved to visit the home of Martha and Mary and enjoyed their gracious hospitality and He knew their faith. They honored Him and we also honor Jesus when we offer to Him everything we have and everything we do for others.
In the Responsorial Psalm we acclaim: Out of the depths I cry to you, O Lord. It's the Lord, who hears our voice and He shows us His kindness and mercy. He brings us comfort and shows us God's hospitality. Great are the works of the Lord Jesus, and with these works makes us faithful and just for all peoples.
Points to Pray and Ponder: We are called to live a Gospel life each and everyday. When we sit, eat, sleep and when we entertain our family and friends, do we also recognize Jesus is also present? Do you like Mary--- sit beside the Lord at his feet listening to Him?
