It is more blessed TO GIVE
than TO RECEIVE
than TO RECEIVE
Bringing warmth
and comfort into everything you do,
Deacon John Ruscheinsky
In today's first
reading from the Book of Wisdom we read the following. "For from the
greatness and the beauty of created things their original author, is seen by
analogy." Knowledge is a powerful thing! Today the church honors
St.Frances Xavier Cabrini. Mother Cabrini founded the Missionary Sisters of the
Sacred Heart. She wanted frank, dynamic women with bright, smiling faces. Pope
Francis frequently notes that religious minded people should have happy faces.
Mother Cabrini even when in poor health maintained a cheerful countenance. She
gave ready witness to her faith in the Good News by putting on a smile. St.
Cabrini in her weakness could move mountains. She had a joyful spirit even
during difficult times.
Let us remember the
words from scripture: It was not you who chose me, says, the Lord,/but I who
chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit,/ fruit that will last. We too
need to life up to this call from Jesus Christ.
Points to Pray and Ponder: I would like to share these words of blessing
that was passed on to me by someone special:
For bringing warmth and comfort into everything you
do,
For finding time to add an extra touch of kindness
too,
For patience in the midst of busy hours with little
rest,
For taking pride in all you do and giving it your
best,
May you be forever blessed.
May you pass it on
too!
