Daily reflection _ faith with a clear conscience

FAITH WITH A CLEAR CONSCIENCE
The way we need to behave is by holding fast to the mystery of our Faith with a clear conscience... so we - as children of our heavenly Father - must be the children who show the goodness and integrity of a life lived with Him.
Deacon John Ruscheinsky
Saint Paul, in today's first reading, reminds us that the eternal Word, incarnated in Jesus Christ, has been witnessed by angels and humans alike. Furthermore, he adds, such knowledge has a moral component, so that we "should know how to behave in the household of God" (1 Tm 3:15). The way we need to behave is by holding fast to the mystery of our Faith with a clear conscience.
In Luke's Gospel we read, "But wisdom is vindicated by all her children" (Lk 7:35). Jesus Christ proclaims to be vindicated - to be cleared of blame or suspicion. He has shown or proven Himself to be right, reasonable, and even justified. Wisdom is with and of God, so we - as children of our heavenly Father - must be the children who show the goodness and integrity of a life lived with Him.
In the Responsorial Psalm we acclaim, "How great are the works of the Lord" (Ps 111:2)! This all takes place as fruit from our community of prayer. Our prayers are not just for ourselves but are for all our brothers and sisters; our friends in Christ. With our heavenly Father's grace we are able to live and work together for the coming of God's Kingdom. The very fact that we are together in God's presence, is itself a prayer to help us grow in faith.
